![]() ![]() Acting on this information Scheer altered course to approximately east of south-east and headed straight for the Horn Reefs light-ship in the expectation that he was now to the rear of Jellicoe’s battleships and clear of them. ![]() Jellicoe’s general instruction to his destroyer flotillas was intercepted by a German wireless listening station and passed to Scheer confirming to him that the British destroyers were to the rear of the battleship squadrons which were steaming south.
